A Pocket Reference for Police
Encounters

If you are arrested or have an unwanted encounter
with the police, you must know your rights. Far too
often,
police officers abuse their positions of power
simply because people are uninformed.  Don't let
this happen to you.

The American Civil Liberties Union has prepared a
handy, pocket card that outlines what to do, and
what not to do, if encountered by the police.

Download it, copy it and give it to your friends.
Keep it in your wallet, in your pocket or in your
glove compartment. And remember, whenever
asserting your rights, do so politely and with
respect. Your rights are powerful and they speak
for themselves.
