Neil D. Chhabra is a Bay Area native, whose
mission as an attorney is to advance and protect
the fundamental rights of his community.  

After completing a dual B.A. in Philosophy and
Political Science (
magna cum laude), Neil received
his J.D. from The University of Arizona's James E.
Rogers College of Law - a
top-tier, nationally
recognized law school in Tucson, AZ.

While at the University of Arizona, Neil served for
two years on the Arizona Law Review. He also
represented low-income immigrants facing
deportation or seeking asylum. He has studied and
volunteered in Costa Rica, India and the United
Kingdom.

After law school, Neil began work as a Deputy
Public Defender in San Joaquin County. There, he
gained extensive trial and courtroom experience,
handling both felonies and misdemeanors.  As a
public defender, he developed a strong reputation
as a highly skilled and compassionate advocate that
always achieved
excellent results for his clients.

Neil is a member of the
State Bar of California, the
California Public Defenders Association and the
Alameda County Bar Association.

In his free time, Neil enjoys traveling, hiking and
spending time with his wonderful family.
